What is the 5G?

5G refers to 5G NR or 5G new radio standard, which is the fifth generation mobile network standard.5G promises:

Faster data: 100 times faster than the first 4G LTE version and 20 times faster than the current 4G LTE standard.

More data: not only is it faster, but the total capacity is 100 times that of the current 4G LTE network.

More devices: 5G can handle 100 times more connected devices than the current 4G LTE network.

Low latency: latency is a measure of how long it takes a device to communicate over a network.5G networks can reduce latency by up to five times, making them ideal for online games, connected cars, virtual and augmented reality, and other real-time communications.

The 5G NR standard was approved in June 2018.The first test network was launched in late 2018, and the first 5G NR networks and the first mobile devices compatible with 5G NR are expected to be launched in 2019.

How is 5G different from previous generations?

As mentioned earlier, 5G will have faster data speeds, handle more devices, have more capacity and lower latency than current 4G LTE networks.
